Deutsche Schlaganfall-Hilfe awards Haus für morgen e.V.

The Stiftung Deutsche Schlaganfall-Hilfe (German Stroke-Help Foundation) awarded Barbara Wenzel the Motivationspreis 2018. She receives the prize for her outstanding honorary commitment in the Haus für morgen e.V.. Sylvia Strothotte, deputy chairwoman of Deutsche Schlaganfall-Hilfe, presented the award in the context of the foundation’s 25th anniversary celebration in Berlin.

“The project allows residents to share and an atmosphere that comes close to home. Courage deserves respect.” praised the jury.

The Hamburger Haus für morgen e.V. creates a new home for stroke victims: here, people with acquired disabilities can make a sheltered return to a regular life. Barbara Wenzel leads the association on an honorary basis. She is also the author of the book “Cheesecake with sauerkraut” on the topic of stroke.

We sincerely congratulate Ms Wenzel and are glad that she and many other volunteers are committed to treating those affected by stroke and are helping to raise the topic of stroke in public.
